MUTE SPEAKER – Dripfeeders

Here’s an unofficial soundtrack  for lovers of literature. The music you’re about to hear is inspired by Vurt, a science fiction novel by British author Jeff Noon.

First I must admit, neither have I heard of this book, nor have I read it. But MUTE SPEAKER’s latest release „Dripfeeders“ just came out today and thanks to him, now I’m even aware of the existence of this book.

Mute Speaker pieced those tracks together to give you an audible impression of how this novel, should/could sound the way this talented producer imagines it.

Nice drums lay down the fundament for well-picked samples, perfectly matched with nice synthesized landscapes, accompanied by dialogues, that make me feel, like I was at the movies.

So take your time and give it a try. I already put Vurt onto my „to-do-list“.

Enjoy!

MUTE SPEAKER – POST BLOCK

MUTE SPEAKER left a positive impression with last year’s first full lenght album „Smart Bomb“.
Since then, Rob O’Hara seems to have gone through a process, that now with his second full lenght release allows him to walk and mark new musical territories.
His latest excursions will lead the listeners from omnipresent hip hop (with MCing) to dub and, at least surprising for me, to r’n’b tracks. At first listen I was like: wtf? But as I gave it a second try, I even got into that.
I must admit, I’m the more strictly beats type guy, but some cuts have a voice to it for a reason. So don’t be shy, give it a try.
Favorite cuts: Freezer Burn – ft. Joel St.Julien and Launch Code
Enjoy!
